Why does
Khushwant Singh write like this
As a writer Khushwant Singh is well-known not only in India but in
the
whole world. Big media houses are always eager to buy his write up
at
quite high prices. Whatever may be the article, it sells like a
hot
cake if it bears the name of Khushwant Singh. Earlier, Khushwant
Singh
used to write in English but the forces of market media have
persuaded
him to write in Hindi. Newspapers like Bhaskar group also feel a
sense
of pride by publishing articles of Khushwant Singh. Small
newspapers
also copy these articles. Hence, Khushwant Singh might not even be
knowing as upto what streets his articles are being printed.
Regular
readers of Khushwant Singh know that his articles invariably get
connected with sex somehow. Bhabhak does not believe that only
those
who have interest in sex articles read Khushwant Singh but since
Khushwant Singh is writing since long and his articles are being
purchased hence it can be believed that all types of readers are
reading him. Bhabhak is commenting on an article published on
February
6 which had been written on socialist leader
George Fernandes. Bhaskar
has also published this article. In this article Khushwant Singh
declares Fernandes as his
good friend but having read the article it
is difficult to decide whether it is an act of friendship of
enmity.
In this article Khushwant Singh has admitted that George Fernandes
is
in a critical condition and he may not even knowing what is
happening
outside the hospital. Despite this Khushwant Singh has written
about
this friend Fernandes that many women came in his life. Not even
that
Khushwant Singh has mentioned names of many such women. There can
be
no two opinions that Khushwant Singh could write these details
only
because he could have been a very close friend of George
Fernandes.
The question rises whether what kind of friendship is this that
when
while admiring George Fernandes, Khushwant Singh is counting and
declaring the names of women friendship of George Fernandes.
Surprisingly, it is a strange act of admiration. May be
Khushwant
Singh has added this part of women friends to make his
article more
popular. George Fernandes started his life as a hardworking person
and
became a prominent labour leader and later on as a socialist he
supported the BJP. He challenged
Mrs Indira Gandhi
during emergency
and before that he led the strike of the railway employees in
1974.
Life of George Fernandes has been full of struggle. At the last
days
of his career he had to struggle with leaders like
Nitish Kumar
and
Sharad Yadav but George could have never realized that when
he would
be struggling for life one of his friends like journalist
Khushwant
Singh would be making his sex relations public. Bhabhak does not
know
as to in which matters and articles both had a give and take
relationship but it seems certain that had George been in senses
he
could have strongly protested on such an article. Khushwant Singh
has
not done it for the first time and he has been writing about
others in
the same style. One is forced to think why is Khushwant Singh
doing
like this. Does he know only those people who have diversified
relationship with women? Khushwant Singh is still writing because
publishers are buying him. It would be better that Khushwant Singh
should tell the people in some article why he gives more emphasis
on
such stories in which sex relations are highlighted. He should
tell
the people why does he drag sex relations with most of his
articles?
Does Khushwant Singh feel that today that sex is the best seller
in
the name of articles? It is not that Khushwant Singh makes
references
of sex for others but many times he makes such references and
comments
for his own person also.
